Thanks for raising this. The UV Index is typically higher in the tropics near the equator (due to higher solar irradiance) and mountainous areas with a thinner ozone layer. Tamil Nadu and Kerala are more prone to elevated UV Index(UVI), especially in summer from 10 AM to 2 PM.
