Don’t let the path of other people’s lives make you second-guess your own. There are millions of people, from all walks of life, who God wants to meet with His message of love. If you take Jesus to the people around you, and I take His love to the ones around me, we’ll cover a lot more ground.

The Bible offers three metaphors that teach us God’s view of life: Life is a test, life is a trust, and life is a temporary assignment. These ideas are the foundation of purpose-driven living.

When you live out your faith as a father, you're showing God to the world. Put another way, for you and me, our highest calling is to represent God to the world. The stakes are higher than us getting accolades, becoming respected in the community, raising great kids or even building a thriving marriage.

Fathers are the lens through which the next

The need of the hour, Paul said to the Corinthians, was that they did not have many fathers (1 Corinthians 4v15).

But until we actually experience this love firsthand, all we men have is a brochure or a theory. Looking at a recipe is not the same as enjoying a bite. Reading about or hearing about God’s love is helpful, but it’s not the same as tasting and seeing that he is good. Love is the point. Love is the first step in becoming a man… then receiving love

The justified pastor—the man justified by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone to God’s glory alone, who happens to be a pastor—when taken on his good day or bad day, ministry high or ministry low, will be received with gladness and welcome.
