If you would like to wire the fuse block directly to the large bolt-on fuse that is located on the battery bank, you need to use a thick wire. This wire should be at least 6 gauge.

The size of the fuse is determined more by the thickness of the wire than anything else.

If your fuse block is small, and cannot handle a 6 gauge wire, you will need to fuse the wire that supplies the fuse block.
