Standardized testing has always been predicated on a racist, classist, sexist, and ableist standard.

Schools are places where the next generation either comes alive with possibility or is crushed by the weight of odds stacked against them. The very place where our imaginations should be fostered is where that potential is routinely smothered.

The reduction of reality to information and humans to genotypes all-too-conveniently dovetails with capitalism’s imperative to render everything into a suitable form for the marketplace. Everything is data, and everything has a price, and everything can scale.

As each new generation expands their imagination, let them also develop a keener ability to detect bullshit.
