In the film SP Parasuram (1994), Chiranjeevi, playing the titular role, teamed up with Sri Devi after their phenomenal success in Jagadekaveerudu Athilokasundari (1990). Despite the star power, the film only did average business owing to the clichéd and weak character assigned to Sri Devi, which left audiences disappointed.
