money and power as possible, or will the pursuit corrupt

IT’S BEEN well-documented that there is a growing sense of entitlement among young people today.

Money, in their world, was an instrument to support a transformative occupation and to feed an addiction, indeed a compulsion, to live on a higher spiritual plane.

One might argue that Sam’s disregard for owning assets is a consequence of being surrounded by so many while growing up. I wonder, were my generation to lose its assets, whether his generation would devote itself to replenishing them. I’m also curious how much of Sam’s variable mentality will survive once he has the responsibility of children.
