This is end-user programming, a vision for empowered computing pursued by bright-eyed computer science visionaries.

I used this system to design self-documenting components that were easy to develop against, and allowed the rest of the team to build new and consistent UI without needing me.

App layer is where most of the value is. Nothing has changed. Humans like a well designed focused UX that deeply solves a problem as a first class citizen, not a text box that tries to do everything.
