Being an artist is amazing. Making something out of nothing is magical. But feeling like you have to post about it, package it, stay active on socials, grow a following, foster a persona all in service of selling work can be really icky. And then feeling icky about it spirals into a “get over yourself” mentality and the ick compounds. When Instagram is good, it is a place to find other artists whose work you admire, who talk about similar struggles, but also find a balance and actually make a living. @timothygoodman is one of those artists. He recently posted a story with @adobeexpress about a piece he made somewhere in NYC. I screencapped the video and used those images as reference for a mini version. Then I was like, hey I LIVE in NYC why don’t I find the actual spot. But there was no mention of the location in the IG story so through some Internet sleuthing I figured out where the actual door was and went down to snap some pics with the maxi and the mini. #streetart #miniatures #timothygoodman #adobeexpress
