God doesn’t stand for a leader who is doing things his own way, disregarding the good of the people, betraying the God of the universe, and seeking selfish gain.

Abe calls God “the LORD who provides.”

When leaders are afraid and don’t trust God, followers won’t either.

And I include myself in the criticism. We as the American church need to take more ownership for our collective sin, our obsession with things that will not make an ounce of difference in heaven, and our failure (past and present) to stand up and speak up for the poor, for the stranger, for the ones who don’t look like us.

Psalm 8, David marvels at God’s creation and the fact that man is given dominion over it.

We already know God holds both adulterers responsible (Deuteronomy 22:22).

Jerusalem;

Praise is the proper response to all of God’s actions.

And inasmuch as MacArthur or any others reject or even obstruct the American church’s efforts to repent of injustice, imitate Christ, and heal our country’s racism, sexism, and economic inequalities, they will only find themselves fighting against God.
