Death is not an event in life: we do not live to experience death. If we take eternity to mean not infinite temporal duration but timelessness, then eternal life belongs to those who live in the present. Our life has no end in just the way in which our visual field has no limits.

When a person starts healing after living in survival mode, they have a deep desire for honesty & authenticity. They’ve had to fight for their ability to think clearly & know who they are. It’s been quite costly. They’re not willing to engage with those who won’t respect that.

The thing about being self-taught is that it often comes with a quiet sense of inferiority. Not because you are inferior, but because you’re convinced there’s something you skipped over—something a structured process would have taught you.

cPTSD isn’t from one traumatic moment that tipped a person over to an unhealthy place. It’s the lack of a foundation and resources that could sustain a person living with the constant unknowns of new trauma.
