I am grateful for grace.
I am grateful for grace.

AS A FORM OF GRACE
Haruki Murakami • Killing Commendatore: A novel
Amazing grace! how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found, Was blind, but now I see. Thro’ many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come; ’Tis grace hath bro't me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.
James H. Cone • God of the Oppressed
Which leads us to grace. Grace is theologically defined as “the freely given unmerited favor and love of God,” which as a definition is beyond fantastic.
Morgan Harper Nichols • Honest Advent
“Grace is the favor shown by God to sinners.”2
Lee Strobel • The Case for Grace: A Journalist Explores the Evidence of Transformed Lives (Case for ... Series)
Because grace is of God, it ultimately wins. We are forgiven by God, whatever horrors we commit or are done to us, however unmeritorious our deeds and broken our lives, because that’s who God is. Grace is free; we don’t earn it nor are we required to deserve it. That’s what makes grace grace. It comes unbidden to us all.
