Only Presence can free you of the ego, and you can only be present Now, not yesterday or tomorrow. Only Presence can undo the past in you and thus transform your state of consciousness.

It is subject to time and then replaced by some other purpose.

Many people fluctuate between feelings of inferiority and superiority, depending on situations or the people they

enjoyment will replace wanting as the motivating power behind people’s actions.

What a heavy burden of past they carry around with them in their minds.

create suffering without recognizing it—this is the essence of unconscious living;

“One day I will be free of the ego.” Who is talking? The ego. To become free of the ego is not really a big job but a very small one. All you need to do is be aware of your thoughts and emotions—as they happen. This is not really a “doing,” but an alert “seeing.

Any life-form in any realm—mineral, vegetable, animal, or human—can be said to undergo “enlightenment.”

Whatever you cannot enjoy doing, you can at least accept that this is what you have to do.
