m.youtube.comIn 2006, the German Ministry for the Environment and energy company Epuron released an ad called “Mr. Wind”. It featured a tall, gloomy man dressed in black, causing chaos wherever he went: knocking over signs, flipping umbrellas, and making life difficult for everyone around him. But halfway through the ad, the perspective flips. We learn that this man is the wind, and instead of fearing or ignoring him, we should harness his power. The ad ends with Mr. Wind finally being welcomed and appreciated, symbolizing wind energy’s potential when embraced properly. With no dialogue and only a touching narration, the ad quickly became a cult classic in the advertising world.
