Despite web3 being an internet based around user ownership, we’re still quite limited in how we can use and display most of the assets we own. Much like today’s social networks have siloed users into a handful of content types and displays, today’s wallets limit our asset engagement and display options to simple showcases or galleries.

Web3 is about Proof of Work - someone’s wallet and their activity on the blockchain is their online identity and the proof of the work they’ve done on chain. This can be used to hire, evaluate their investments, their community memberships and affiliations.

Cryptomedia allows for unique and provable ownership of information, including: graphics, audio, video, plain text and any arbitrary file or data.

Communities in web3 issue tokens which are primitives used for defining membership - and if platforms want communities to use them, then they must support flexible membership structures.
