When we deny the love or truth of the gospel in order to please others or gain position and power, we deny God and prove that we are most concerned with the approval of people. We squander our inheritance in Christ for worldly treasure.

There are three primary states of a person or thing: unclean, clean, and holy.

By asking what a text reflects of God’s nature that prompts the work of Christ, an expositor can examine any narrative, genealogy, commandment, proverb, proposition, or parable to see what it reveals of God’s justice, holiness, goodness, lovingkindness, faithfulness, provision, or deliverance.
