Roller skating is Black History. It’s important to recognize the huge impact that the Black community has made on roller skating, and how skating very well may not be what it is today without the impact of Black culture. In honor of Black History Month, we want to shout out @blackdiasporaderby and our league members skating with them! We currently have 3 skaters part of BD: Oreo Slamher, Buttercup, and Filmore Pain. They are fundraising for their World Cup travel fund, so please help support if you can. Head to their page and click the link in their bio! . . . #blackhistorymonth #rollerskating #rollerderby

I was nineteen, and I was in a panic because nothing had played out the way I’d hoped, after years of hard work.’12
