In Peter’s words to his fellow elders he reminded them that they were to shepherd the flock, “nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock” (1 Peter 5:3).

If you’ve been afraid to share the Good News with those around you, ask God to fill your heart with his love for them.

Your goal is to figure out where others are in their spiritual journey and then do whatever will bring them a step closer to knowing Christ.

Every week people file into our church services aching for eternity. In our zeal to provide something they may find comfortable and useful and inoffensive, are we offending the God who wishes to offend us in awe of his glory? Are we dismissing our brother Jesus, whose formula for victory includes crucifixion?
