「欲しい」は、「～が欲しい」という場合は漢字ですが、「～してほしい」など動詞に付いて「そうしてもらいたい」といった意味になる場合は平仮名にします。こういった付属的な意味を添えるため補助的に使われる語は漢字にしないのが基本になっています。
