✨The Carnivorous Series✨ Throughout this series I was examining themes of adaptation. Looking back now I can see how my exploration of adaptation within the realm of the carnivorous plant world was also a reflection of my own adaptation. Fresh of the boat (so-to-speak) I had just moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana from Portland, Oregon when I painted this series and I stuck out like a sore thumb (still do- and proudly so) I’m still adapting to my new environment here.
