If beneficial routine care dropped during the past few months of the pandemic lockdown, so perhaps did its malignant counterpart, unnecessary care. If so, this has implications for how we should reopen our health care system. Doctors and hospitals will want to ramp up care to make up for lost revenue. But this will not serve our patients’ needs.

Difficult work is often difficult precisely because it involves tolerating some emotional discomfort and doing the work anyway. If your emotional endurance is low, you won’t be able to follow-through on (or sometimes even start) much of the most important work of your life.
If you want to monetize your audience, Medium is terrible. I still haven't seen repeated evidence of writers making meaningful amount of money. Plus, adjacent opportunities like workshops, courses, etc aren't possible because of #1 and #2.
