The article asks to question caste practices within the spaces we inhabit, it talks to the sentiment of “speaking for the voiceless" while gaining capital through their empirics. It also speaks to the casteist institutions that employ upper castes and white people to teach anti-caste thinking - the problem noted here is the lack of dalits in academia - but apart from that, while it makes me think, I’m left with nothing to go from here. Solidarity research to amplify voices is not enough, building diverse circles of friends and communities of practice is not enough if it is benefiting you and making you feel better about yourself, yes. But what then? What is an alternative practice that accounts for the caste violence we inflict?
