A poem I wrote based on my friends back home.

I’ve been missing them a lot, especially after I moved to college, and got reminded of this when trying to come up with storyboard ideas. Nothing reflects more of a person than the people they choose to surround themselves with to perform their day-to-day tasks.

This was a poem inspired by Walt Whitman. I wrote it for my English Honors class last year after we read “Song of Myself”, and were assigned to copy his style in a piece about something we felt deeply connected to. Around this time, I was becoming really close to my best friends to this day, and chose to write about them.
