I can’t stress enough how important it is to meet people who are also starting up. And if a mediator is indeed brought in – they’re not simply firefighting. They’re bringing structure, freshening perspectives, and leveling up the community beyond what they could do by themselves. It’s additive support , not a last ditch effort.

In a world where copies and fakes and phonies and phoning-it-in to do as little as possible are so common, doing something truly different that’s true to who we are and makes a meaningful difference in the world remains a special thing.

I don’t love the intimations of class distinctions...if there’s one thing that we don’t talk about enough, it’s that class is mighty powerful in terms of determining the course of your life.
