Reading is so good for cognitive and mental health that you simply have to do it like in the same way that people begrudgingly drag themselves to work out or eat vegetables.
When I need to recover from an overstimulating time, it’s become a lot easier to just let myself do that.
To accept that I’m going to feel under par, irritable and tired for a few days and that that is normal and OK. Nothing to worry about or to try to fix.
