Prediction: There will be a bimodal distribution of remote work. At the top end it will allow organizations to employ the best people regardless of their location, and freed from the drag of commuting and distractions of the office, they'll be even more productive.
What a fascinating little paragraph on nightmares, dreams, and the nature of consciousness. I could read 10k words on every sentence.
So interesting to think about nightmares as our consciousness engine running amok without the braking system of sense data.
This is the fundamental tension: culture vs. math.
1. Management has clearly and consistently shown a greater preference for offices than workers.

2. During a downtown, it’s clearly advantageous for zombie-office companies to reduce their footprint
A lot of things are happening here, including the mess that’s been the 2020s, but also the combination of
a) news publisher abundance
b) media negativity bias
c) social media amplifying high-arousal negativity (eg, outrage)

If you notice something at your company below standards and don't fix it or make sure someone else does, you have set a new standard.

What matters is eventually hitting a home run, and the way to do that is training hard and a lot of at-bats. You only have to be right once, and it's ok to be wrong a lot of times.
Be bold. Move fast. Work hard. Ignore haters. Keep swinging.
Having the self-belief that you will be able to figure things out as you go along is critical to success at anything hard.
Get started and trust yourself. No one has all the answers at the beginning.
Move faster. Slowness anywhere justifies slowness everywhere.
2021 instead of 2022. This week instead of next week. Today instead of tomorrow.
Moving fast compounds so much more than people realize.
