Miles Davis // "Man, sometimes it takes you a long time to sound like yourself."
6 tips from John Steinbeck on writing:
Abandon the idea that you are ever going to finish. Lose track of the 400 pages and write just one page for each day, it helps. Then when it gets finished, you are always surprised.
Write freely and as rapidly as possible and throw the whole thing on paper. Never correct or rewrite until the whole thing is down.
The consistency of your endeavors (exercise, companionship, work) is more important than the quantity. Nothing beats small things done every day, which is way more important than what you do occasionally. -Kevin Kelly ‘103 Bits of Advice…’
Worrying weakens you. It makes an unfortunate turn of events worse. And vocalized worrying is as contagious as the plague. Get out of your head immediately and choose one small step in the right direction. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
