There’s something deeply satisfying about doing a great job, to the best of your ability. No matter whether you’re a solo entrepreneur, or at a hot startup, or massive company. Entry level or VP. The first recognition has to come from yourself.

Anna Mackenzie • Knowing it all vs. figuring it out

It’s almost impossible to safely drive a car while only looking in the rear view mirror. Only seeing where you’ve been is a terrible way to figure out where to go.

But it’s really unsafe to go forward with no idea of what came before.
