openresearchlab.orgA comprehensive universal basic income (UBI) experiment in the US, giving $1,000 a month to 1,000 low-income individuals for three years, yielded underwhelming results: slightly reduced work hours with no significant improvements in health or human capital investments. It did, however, increase generosity among recipients — spending on others saw the largest categorical increase.
