sigh - this is true. There’s no way that any of us can afford to pay $5/month to access the work of all the writers, chefs, cartoonists, podcasters, etc... whose output we occasionally enjoy.
interesting thoughts from a creator - on why to paywall: "it is damaging to speak to people who are committed to misunderstanding you, or people you already know are incapable of receiving you. It is wasteful to give good things to people who will not appreciate them."
And you have to wrestle with the paywall and its very unfortunate trade-off. You want to share your work with the widest audience possible.
