スタートアップでは通常『事業』をつくるものとされる。だけど、これからはもう少し『ブランド』をつくる。スタートアップブランドという考え方があってもいいように思う。資金調達しテクノロジーで新しい機能をつくるのではなく、資金調達し一流のデザインやコンセプトで新しい価値を作るやり方だ。

起業する時は「MAやIPOなどのゴールを決めてからはじめること」そして起業したあとは「キャッシュカウを作ること」が極めて重要。その2つがなければ、ふわっとした起業になり、巻き込んだ人たちが不幸になる。理念重視で、お金がない経営ほど悲惨なものはないです。経験すればわかります。 会社のゴールは「上場・売却・継承・清算」しかありません。ほとんどの会社がゴールを決めずに盲目的に走り始め、路頭に迷っています。暫定でもいいので「５年目で経常利益１億円を出し、５億円で売却する」などと決めてみましょう。そのためにはもちろんキャッシュカウを育て、きちんと利益を出すしかありません。
