It is questions like these that are taken up by the Finnish artist Nina Backman, who is behind the performative food experience Silence Meal. Silence Meal experiments with silence as a method to increase intensity and sharpen the senses. The format gives the participating dinner guests an opportunity to experience what happens when the spoken interaction stops and is replaced by the silent community.
