Reminders for myself
as the years go by and I am only feeling more loved, I am starting to realize that not only did I never imagine that I will be loved, but that the love I did allow myself to imagine at my least low moments was still so much smaller and restrained and manicured than what I now know that I can actually have.
years ago someone suggested using the word devotion instead of discipline and I swear it’s the only reason I am so committed to the things that I love ~ bc devotion is an act of love ~ while discipline feels like an act of force
