Among the big participants, Google and OpenAI have the most full-stack ambitions

This means that Anthropic is implicitly selling to all of the companies that bet their business on competing with products and features that OpenAI launches itself

So, it looks like every consumer-first US BigTech company is running 100 miles per hour to find the next winning mass-adoption computer device , and more importantly, it feels like Meta has a head start on this .

Meta, after spending a lot of money in the Metaverse, VR, AR, glasses, etc ., and frankly being criticised and frowned upon , may actually have its best shot in actually owning a “truly-independent Consumer platform” .

Amazon doesn't have a strong view on which models people use, or what they use them for, as long as the inference and ideally also the training happens on AWS

OpenAI's reason for trying to do everything seems to be that they feel like they can probably pull it off, and that investors and hardware providers are willing to work with them to make it possible.

Because of Google's distribution—search, YouTube, Chrome, Android—it has lots of places to directly deploy AI to users. Anthropic's model is, increasingly, to arm other companies with intelligence-via-API, and let them figure out how to monetize it.
