Beyond the Essay: a framework for the future of online publishing as encouraging critical thought & engagement & resistance against fake news/AI/rage bait/etc. This is something I am particularly interested in due to my interest in the democraticasion of information through the “irrational technology” educational project & fighting against “offline is the new luxury” & class signalling on substack etc/psuedo intellectualism (following ideas of Bad Taste - the book on how the idea of “taste” is repackaged classism, no matter the form it takes, despite it’s seductive properties)
the way we exist online is really a way of method acting, we can use this to understand our presence online (ie. performing with awareness of performing, performing consciously & intentionally vs performing subconsciously due to social conditioning)
