1/ Three years ago, I thought NFTs were going to bring mainstream adoption to crypto. And they did (kinda), but they also didn't provide anything other than speculation. I wanted to highlight a few random reasons why, and how we might get to real mainstream adoption. 🧵

In marketplaces, transaction frequency & building user habits is more important than having the highest overall GMV. Let's consider NFTs on Solana vs Ethereum through this lens, by comparing @MagicEden_NFT vs. @opensea:

1/ On Real Estate You invest in real estate - the largest and most tangible asset class in the world. You don't believe in any of this NFT mumbo jumbo. What you are just buying a token? The JPG is somewhere else? What are you even buying?
