The thing that’s wrong about imposter syndrome is that for the most part no one is thinking about you at all. They’re too busy with their own doubts and their own work.

An exercise to start figuring out your career pathway: Write your dream professional bio. When you retire, what do you want to be known for, what impact to you want to have had on the world?
The problem? No wind. In nature, trees develop stress wood in response to wind resistance: dense, strong fibers that anchor them and help them withstand storms. Without wind, the Biosphere 2 trees grew tall and beautiful but fundamentally weak. They had no roots deep enough to support their own growth.
