All of those refrigerants being released are not good for the climate. All for the sake of keeping sodas cold. We can do better.
Let’s also acknowledge that design and designers have contributed to our climate breakdown. Without this acknowledgement, designers might not see how their skills play a tremendous role in shaping the world around us. Do the majority of designers understand the weight of their responsibility?
And this is why Climate Designers has always invested in our chapters and hubs. Chapters and Hubs carry out our mission to empower designers to learn, connect, and act on climate at the local level. Local Futures a great way to bring our climate emergency down to a human/community level.
How can design get in front of misinformation? How is design contributing to misinformation? How can design uplift personal stories that cut through the misinformation—stories that resonate with the right people?

A very important point not to be overlooked. If this doesn’t happen, this initial study goes out the window.
Damn, PBS. Not one question on how trees are a carbon sink and if we cut them down, we will lose that sink and release so much stored carbon back into the atmosphere.
