Al-Bayhaqi reported: Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Beware of the gates of the ruler.”

Abu al-‘Awar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Beware of approaching the gates of the ruler, for they will become tyrants.”
