solid insight. this is the vision for sublime. for this to work, my view is you have to design it to be a giant public brain from day one, not latch that on afterwards.
A great thing about taking notes is that it subtly encourages you to live a ‘notes-worthy life’
You end up seeking interesting conversations to build your memex; experimenting with new recipes to add to your collection; reading more widely to find surprising connections etc.

if you like thinking, it’s important to be around people who also enjoy thinking/ideas, otherwise you have to constantly empty your mind to fill it up with the shared context needed to relate to others.. this often ends up being emptier topics like people, small talk, gossip, etc
