Discusses ‘the great vowel change’ which explains the mass change of spelling and pronunciation of words due to outsiders of London moving to the city and trying to ‘hyper-adapt’ their accent to the locals. Others would adapt their pronunciation of some words derived from the French language in a French accent. By the masses, these words’ pronunciations, over time, changed the universal saying.
