Personally, I find expressing feelings in Indonesian often feels a bit embarrassing. This is because in Indonesia, expressing feelings is not commonplace, both within families and friendships, and the culture is considered excessive, even with partners. Meanwhile, if I watch movies or see Westerners on social media, expressing feelings is very common. It's meaningful but not awkward, so it's not embarrassing to used.
If language shapes the way we construct our reality, then using different languages could influence not only how we think about the world, but also how we feel and react to it.
