I’ve been thinking about the way, when you walk
down a crowded aisle, people pull in their legs
to let you by. Or how strangers still say “bless you”
when someone sneezes, a leftover
from the Bubonic plague. “Don’t die,” we are saying.

I rarely feel confident enough to give anyone advice about anything, but here's something small that has changed my life as a writer: a kindness log.
Kind Words is arguably the best game for any person feeling lonely, as it can be enjoyed even by non-gamers. The objective is to write and receive letters from other anonymous players. The contents of these letters tend to be heartfelt stories about people’s lives.
