Think through the lens, “what do I already have that could work?” instead of “what do I need that I don’t have?” first.

Copying is a scarcity mindset. We think we cannot compete or do better, creatively, and so we must replicate.

People may think that devoting a lot of time to yourself and your art is a selfish act, but if we want a more fulfilling life it’s so important to reclaim that time and energy away from work.
