I was thinking about all the time spent browsing with no real aim, and how even as a 12 year old, there was some small intuitive sense of the things I was drawn to.
Product management is about insights and judgment, both of which require a sharp mind. Hard work is also necessary, but for this job, it is not sufficient.
On the whole, my hot take is that the gut instinct (good or bad) is something to be honored. Practice listening closely to it a lot more because it’ll tell you exactly what you need.
