What are you doing right now to make sure you obtain what you want to achieve now.

Planning stage:

They haven’t planned out what they need to do daily to obtain where they want to go.

Act in the way your future self would right now. But you can’t do that until you understand who they are. and how they think.

What cities have you always been drawn to. Ask yourself why you are attracted to it. Would you be comfortable in something else. Ask yourself questions in all areas

3. Job

4. Opportunties

5. Family

6. friends

7. romantic relationships

8. House

9. Hobbies / happiness

10. Leisure

Check list of all your goals

Look at those goals and turn it into a weekly plan. 

Mindset chapter:

Having the right mindset makes sure you push through

Think about your future as much as possible. Future memories, thinking about it like its’ already happened. 

Shift from the child position to adult mindset. Adult mindset will do everything you 

People who have everything figured out is boring. How do you deal with the uncertainty of the future. Uncertainty of yourself and your career and uncertainty of the world.

You can control your own thoughts. Take that energy of what you are worrying into making a difference.

If you plan everything and make everything certain you take out the fun. Too much uncertainty is detrimental. You have a sense of where you’re going in your life. you have to have a sense of direction. Law of 13 and chapter 1 in mastery.  

Theres a way to adjust your lifes path so you can enjoy it

Everyone finds themselves stuck in their fantasies. Reality seems boring and ugly. Fantasy and illusion has its place but you also can get lost in it. 

You can’t change yourself if you don’t look at yourself first. Look at who you really are first

A lot of us are under the impression theres one thing that’s our passion.

1. Change where you get your dopamine source

   1. accompanied by pleasure, it’s very accessible nowadays

   2. Modern dopamine is forms of consumption old dopamine is form of creation. This consumption turns into addiction. If you get a majority of your dopamine from creation it turns into Passion.

2. Expose yourself to a variety of different forms of creations.

   1. Try new things. Search up list of hobbies write down the interesting or fun ones.

   2. Take list and go one by one 

   3. doing research, playing around with it and you’ll be able to see if you really have a passion for it.

you have to look inward and it is a process like everything else. It’s going to take years

Discovery is the key to everything in life. It’s the process of self understanding. You have to understand what you are here to do.

Your fate is to know what that seed is that has been planted in you from the time you were born.

5 frames of intelligence.

if you have a seed for one path but go towards another than it won’t work out. The craft is what’s training you. You can’t master just the craft without connecting it to yourself. The craft has limitations. 

Working against a culture that makes it harder for you. It’s very external focused. The ability to look inward is much harder than years ago. 

I have to know who I am and it doesn’t come easily. The seed is like a voice in your head. The voice saying what it likes and loves. The voices become like your parents and teachers and you have to cut through them to reach your own voice. 

What makes you different from other people

We don’t imagine that we will like different things or be different in the future. It’s the illusion of continuity. When we look backwards the contrast between our past selves but it’s clear we are different. But when looking ahead we see ourselves as older but not liking different things. 

our young selves don’t know what our older selves would want. 

Ourselves turn over all the time. People us 10 years ago we aren’t the same people even biological. 

It’s the organization of the cells that make it the same body, but each new layer you put down psychologically you are constantly becoming a new person. 

when we make promises like marrying someone we are making a promise a stranger has to keep.

Our future selves might not share our values, hopes, and beliefs. We are going to be different 30 years from now

We imagine that we represent the end of history. The future is going to more of the same.

All of us try to make our future selves happy

If you accept that you will be a different person in the future than you should be the architect of who you become. Spend time with people who aren’t just your family. Expand your horizon

if you are going to change t least be in control of who you become. 

Among the people who disagree with us are our future selves. Add a touch of humility. 

No one is going to come in and erase the things we’ve done. 

Our future selves will have strengths and wisdom we do not have today. 

“I don’t have the capacities today, that doesn’t mean I won’t have the capacity some day.” Be brave.
