Funding models explain why it’s so hard to rely on software services long-term. In the VC model, 90%+ of startups fail - in other words, the companies are built to die, to be acquired, or to become crappy in the pursuit of growth-at-all-costs.
The bootstrap vs. raise VC is a false dichotomy - it's a spectrum and founders need more options.
