My creative self cares more about being in the process of creation rather than what has been made and what I might still make. Those are other parts of me but the creator in me is excited about just that. Creating.

Build the company you want to work for, that’s how you become an entrepreneur. Write the book you want to read, that’s how you become an author. What you do will become who you are—you become xyz not by watching others, but by doing it yourself. What you create creates you:

And when I practice letting go of how I think things are supposed to look and instead cultivate a trust in the unfolding that is taking place, often in unseen ways, the Here-ness of challenge or pain or depression or grief or (anything) softens even 5%, and that 5% adds up fast when I don’t assume it’s nothing.
