Project: Coltrane and King

Take a section of Coltrane’s Alabama and Martin Luther King’s I Have a Dream speech and apply Arvo Pärts Tintinnabuli composition technique to the resultant piece.

Compose with a minimum one M-voice—M for “melodic”—and one T-voice—T for “tintinnabuli”, or T for “triad” to make a better mnemonic. These voices probably correspond to individual voices or instruments, but they might also be implied by a single melody just as one might find a “polyphonic melody” in baroque music.
