When you buy something, you overlook its flaws at first, then as time passes you love it less.

When you make something, it's the opposite. First you notice all your flaws, but as time passes those bother you less, and you love your creation more and more. I realize that's true for clothes I make, and I will remind myself that for my other creative projects -- films, writing, paintings, furniture.
