Art is the greatest operating system our species has ever invented, a means of exploring consciousness, seen and unseen worlds. It is an instrument, medium, matrix, or miracle that transforms old impressions into new thoughts; that makes a thousand insignificant details light up and draw you out. But hope is an extremely hard disease to cure. And often all it takes is a small exposure to a story that reminds us of what we are capable of, and the power of it comes rushing back
I believe if art has a purpose (and often it does not and that’s good too), but if it does it is to shine the best of ourselves back at us, so we may remember it.
